How many times have you had a great glass of wine and looked at the label to remember the brand? Well, I’ve done it many times, so I could remember to purchase the wine again. I try to memorize the label information or even jot it down in a notebook or wine journal. But how many times have we wondered who made this great wine?

We at Winesworld has done something about this!
The easy answer is to use our wine database. You ADD the wine here: Give Dice in the database and then you can find it later on this page: My Wines. The only thing to remember is your own name you used when you commented on the wine.

Easy?

Winesworld is a friendly wine guide for amateurs, by amateurs. We do not proclaim to be experts, we just like wine and want to share our experiences with you.

This wine guide is simple, easy to understand and is based solely on our tastes and pleasures. The wines are graded by taste, bouquet (smell) aftertaste and composition, to make it simple for all of us we give our vote in die-rolls. 6 for the best and 1 for the worst (in our opinion).

You can compare the dices with the 100 scale that Robert Parker use on his website in the following way:

50 – 57 = 1
58 – 65 = 2
66 – 73 = 3
74 – 82 = 4
83 – 89 = 5
90 – 100 = 6

6 is from 90 to 100 because we seldom get the opportunity to taste wines above 95.

We have now in Winesworld added most of the new wines that will arrive in Sweden ( Systembolaget ) in August 2008. The wines are now searchable in our database and we are constant adding new dices/comment to the wines as they appear in all the major newspapers in Norway/Sweden.
You can all add your own dice/comment to all the wines we have in our database and you can find them all under ‘My Dices’ in the menu.

Quinta da Espiga ( Casa Santos Lima ) 2006

This is a wine that is easy to like. It is pleasant and has a sweet character. It is an young and fresh wine that is fine to drink alone or with some chicken for instance.

Tasting Notes: Combines concentrated dark cherry and blackcurrant flavours, as well as an agreeable pronounced acidity and some fine oak notes, ends with firm tannins and a fruity finish.
