This is a small report from this year’s Hammarkullekarneval with some impressions and photos. This year’s carnival is in its final day, it began Friday and ends today. We visited the Hammarkulle yesterday for a couple of hours. This year we were very lucky with the weather, it was warm and delicious and everyone was happy.

Compared with last year we think that the marked part was a little bigger. We got the Mediterranean feeling. This year we didn’t spend that much time to see the carnival, but we did a little walking around the marked and had an enjoyable time. Under is a photo display of this years event:

The carnival is since 1974, a yearly tradition in Hammarkullen. The carnival was started by youth and adults through “Frisco project” on Hammarkullens leisure farm, where the first spring carnival was held. In the late 70s they made a stop for 2 years. Since 1979 have the Latin American organization participated with special dances and costumes. For every year the arrangement has grown and developed to What it has been today; a wide cultural folk festival. It is easy to understand that Hammarkull child is pride over ‘hers’ carnival and its neighborhood.
