In the heart of the Czech Republic, at ~ 69 km away from Prague, there is the city of Kutna Hora with its famous Kostnice, set in Sedlec, one of the suburbs of the main city. I’ll skip the ossuary’s beginnings, you can read more about its history and how it all started here and here, and just show you several images from the place. Unfortunately, my camera’s baterries collapsed before taking shots of everything in Kostnice.

The last shot is an image of the church from outside. You can see the skulls and the saint with a star aura up on top. The saint is Saint John of Nepomuk, one of the most important figures for the people in the Czech Republic. The Sedlec ossuary stresses life and death and the constant remembrance of the passing time. Memento mori!
