This 556-page tome discusses absolutely everything about grilling, barbecuing, smoking (cold or hot), barbecuing devices, alcoholic beverages for barbecue parties, and provides more than 500 recipes from all over the world.

The author has travelled all over the world (from Argentina to Vietnam and every other country in between) to gather first hand information.

He is an expert on the subject matter, and loves food.

That love has led him to provide recipes for beef, pork, lamb, burgers, sausages, poultry, fish, crustaceans, vegetarian fare, starches, pickles, salsas, sauces, rubs and even desserts.

One could easily cook for an entire year, using recipes from this book, and never get tired.

The text is entertaining and written for the average reader but provides a lot of good information about barbecuing and about eating habits of different nations.

You want to know the best fuel for your barbecue, look up page 1, and if you are in the market to buy a grill (any type) go to page.

Starting on page 9 the author answers frequently asked questions, i.e how to season cast-iron grate, and many others.

Pickling has no relation to barbecuing, yet there is a chapter on pickles and several recipes. This is simply to you how interested the author is about food, and to what lengths he goes to make the book complete.

Now there are many who barbecue throughout the year, even in regions with severe winters. Some are so enthused that they even install permanent barbecues indoors. The Barbecue! Bible discusses them too.

Anyone who travels to 28 countries plus all over the USA to research proves his enthusiasm about the subject matter, and Steven Raichlen’s The Barbecue! Bible is a testimony to his love and respect to this cooking method.

Highly recommended to read, use, and keep as a reference for generations to come.
